It is a great boon that the Government of Tamilnadu has come out in a big way with effective policy support through the issue of the landmark G.O. No 32 dated 31.3.1999 for sustaining all CIICP initiatives and replicating them in all the polytechnics in the State.
Our Polytechnic has an efficient Continuing Education Cell established under the World Bank Project and a number of need based short term courses were conducted both for the students as well as the general public for the past several years. Till March 2009, it has generated fabulous revenues and an amount of 45.00 lakhs has been fruitfully ploughed back for the integral Institutional development in terms of machinery, equipments and amenities for the staff and students.
Now the World Bank Project has been successfully completed, the activities of the Continuing Education Cell are sustained by the CIICP Program from the year 2004 onwards.
